We named this design after Rosa Parks, an African American civil right's activist and seamstress who was dubbed "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement" when she refused to relinquish her seat on a bus to a white man on 1st Dec 1955. After which, she quickly became the icon and face of resistance to racial segregation, pairing up with individuals like herself such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Edgar Nixon.
We dedicate this necklace to Rosa's strength and courage as she fights injustice and hopes to inspire anyone who wears this necklace to stand up for themselves and any injustices.
This collection is part of our 'Women of Strength' collection inspired by the Vanda Miss Joaquim Orchid, the national flower of Singapore, which was chosen because of its resilience as a species and the ability to bloom all year round. This collection is done in celebration of Singapore's Bicentennial and uses the Orchid as a symbol to represent strength and resilience.

To keep your piece shiny for an extended time, avoid harsh chemicals like nail polish removers, detergent or perfume to keep this piece fresher for longer.
